Pastors Santiago Huitz and his beloved wife Blanca, after many years in the United States and at retirement age; went back to Guatemala to visit family. Having a pastoral heart, they immediately saw the need of many people in the country. They packed their belongings, sold thier house and move to Guatemala were they started a ministry in one of the poorest zones in Guatemala City, Villa Canales. Drugs, prostitution, crime, poor health care, and the lack of education are many of the social issues of this community. Nothing stopped them; for the past 14 years after their retirement and the use of there own funds and the help of some supporters, they built a temple. They have implemented activities to help with the education of teens and children. Computer education, writing and reading, provision of school supplies are some of the programs the have at the moment. As you may understand, to accomplish these tasks, they need of our help. Please give to help Santiago and Blanca fulfill the dream to give a chance for these kids to change their lives. “One child at the time”
